AntonioDaniels.com leaps into seventh season!

Washington guard, Antonio Daniels, has launched the 2006-2007 version of his interactive website, www.AntonioDaniels.com. The site was originally launched in October 1999 as training camp opened. Over the course of the season the site garnered over 1,000,000 visits from fans in San Antonio and around the world.

AntonioDaniels.com features a periodic column by Daniels or a teammate. Past guest columnists have included Tim Duncan, Avery Johnson, Malik Rose and Steve Kerr. The site contains Daniels background, photos and current stats. In addition to the fresh information provided by the column, fans can take part in the AD Poll or watch video highlights in the Multimedia center. There is also a page dedicated to the memory of Antonio’s late brother, Chris.

The concept is unique. Daniels gives fans a look inside the team as the Wizards drive toward a championship. "I really enjoyed being able to communicate with the fans during last season" Daniels said. "The web site is a great way to involve fans with our team." The site is overseen by CEB, Inc., a San Antonio based sports marketing firm representing several NBA players. CEB President, Colin Bryant adds, "There are a lot of player websites out there. Our focus has been to make Antonios site interactive. It is a place for people to communicate, ask questions and get the players point of view from inside the locker room. It has been a very successful formula."

Several corporate sponsors have signed up to support the site and benefit from the regional and national exposure that is forthcoming this season. Two of the six corporate sponsorship positions are still available, although it is expected that they will be filled prior to the end of the year.
