The bank is always open

We are back from the long west coast road trip and glad to be home. Today's game with Dallas is very important for us. Jason asked me if there are some teams we get up for more so than others. While we don't forget what the Lakers did to us last year or other rivalries that we have, the impact of the game is what makes it big for us. Today's game with the Mavs falls in to that category. It won't be hard to be excited when they come to our house.

Of course AJ will be here today. He told me right after he was traded to Dallas that the I-10 rivalry is now replaced by the I-35 rivalry. He may be right. It's always good to see him just so long he's not smiling at the end of the game today!

Matt asked about the way the Rockets have fallen of in the last year. There is no doubt they are rebuilding. But don't count them out in the future. Steve Francis is a great player and they have a lot of guys with tremendous potential. When they get Eddie Griffin and Mo Taylor back they will be a force.

Bill asked me about the little bank shot I hit against Houston the other night. He wanted to know if I called "glass" on that. The answer is no. I wanted to make it but I wasn't trying to bank it in. But as I say, the bank is always open! As long as it drops, I'm happy.

We were able to get some of the young guys like Jason Hart some minutes in the Houston game as well. I was asked if having my minutes cut was a problem. I spoke to Pop about it and we had a good conversation. We will need guys like Charles Smith in the playoffs and they need to stay sharp. It also serves to motivate me to play better.

I have all the motivation I need to play hard today. My sister came in town yesterday with my niece and nephew. They'll be here to see the next two games. I am really glad to have them here. We are a close family and knowing that they'll be cheering for me inspires me.
