20,000 is Amazing!

I am back and appreciate all of your emails. We have had such a long road stretch. Let me catch up with you on some big things that have been happening.

It has been great to have won the last four games and feel like we are coming together. A big factor has been getting everyone back and healthy. Bruce has been a big difference contributing both offensively and defensively. Now that we are back to 100%, the rotation can be set and our playing time is not up in the air. That helps us a lot and is especially important heading toward the playoffs. It will also help us that guys like Charles Smith got some minutes and improved his game. We need all the depth we can get and he adds a lot when he is out on the floor.

Tuesday night was so great seeing Dave get to 20,000 points. That is a huge milestone and we are all very happy for him. Malik and I were on the sideline watching and waiting for him to get it. We were laughing about that dunk. When we were in, we were trying to get him the points. We set up pick and rolls and were trying to get him the ball in position. Once he finally made it we were excited right along with all of you. What an amazing milestone!

Landry asked me who the toughest player is to guard in the NBA. I would have to say Stephon Marbury is. He is really strong and very quick, a tough combination. There are a lot of guys that are tough to keep up with but he tops my list Landry.

Tina asked me about Terry Porter and his leadership contribution to the team. You know, TP is just a great guy both on and off the court. He takes time to help all the young guys and has really worked with Tony Parker this year. He is so amazing to have the game that he has at 38!

Yolanda asked me if Tony Parker still has to bring us donuts on game days. The answer is yes! He is a rookie and will be a rookie until the first game next season. Since he has been doing this for awhile now he even knows what kind of donuts the guys like best!

A bunch of you have been asking me about my Summer Basketball Camps. We are about to announce the dates and locations. Last year they sold out so quickly, I wanted to be able to offer more kids the chance to come. So we are adding another week at new locations. You will be the first to know!
