I really appreciate the fans supporting me. Even though I don't get a lot of minutes, I try to play hard. Obviously I am very happy to be here. San Antonio and the Spurs have been great for me. I worked very hard to get here and took the long road up. I was in the CBA for a couple of years and got cut from the NBA a few times too. I know a lot of kids would love to get the opportunity that I have had. To them, I would say work hard. Work on every aspect of the game. Study the game. Learn and play defense. Above all, stay in school. You never know where life is going to lead you.

I try to bring a lot of intensity and I love to play defense. Tom reminded me about going against McGrady earlier in the year. I was excited to get that opportunity and feel like I did pretty well. I was trying to shut him down. When a guy like that is taking 25-30 shots per game you know he is going to get his points. He also had an easier time on me defensively since my role on offense is different than his. He was a tough match up but it was good for me. It definitely helped to have a couple of seven footers inside!

The last three wins were very big for us, especially coming off the all-star game. When the guys we have hurt get back we will be in very good shape. We know we have some tough games coming up and are ready. We are on a roll and know that every game is important.

Tom asked if I have a nickname. The guys just call me I. Newble. Unlike Lil' Smoothie, The Admiral, Ninja. I don't have a nickname yet. Maybe you can suggest one for me! Let me know your suggestions. Thanks for your support and thanks to AD for letting me sit in for him.
