Life is beautiful

My role is different here than in LA or Cleveland. The hardest adjustment is being unable to show what I can do. Pop has told me to just find my way and I'll get into a groove. This is a very different offense than what I was used to as well. We run things through the big guys, and it is a very successful approach. I get some good looks and shots, and I want to be able to contribute to the team. As time goes by I know I'll be able to contribute more. Right now I am just being patient.

Tom pointed out that I have had three different starting point guards this season. AD has been adjusting to his role as a starter. He sets a different tone than AJ. When Steve plays he is a scoring guard so I try to get the ball to him in the 3 spot. Regardless of who the point guard is, we are trying to work it in to the big guys.

Cheryl asked me if we are where we want to be at this point in the season. I don't think so. There are a lot of things that can get better. We will be a good team when we can play a solid 48 minutes on the road. We are on track to make those improvements.

Mike asked me about the nickname "Lil' Smoothie". I was given that name back in High School and it has stuck with me.. I always tried to help my teammates get better. I'm not flashy, so I guess they came up that's how they came up with that nickname. When you are playing good basketball they give you a good name, so I take it as a compliment.

Michelle wanted the inside scoop on Antonio. The best way I can describe him is like this; Remember when you were a kid and you got a bad grade, and your mom was down on you? He is like your little brother that gave you a hug. When guys are frustrated and down on themselves, he makes them feel a lot better. Tonio is just that kind of a person. He is really funny and he keeps us sane!
