The word from AD

Welcome to the new season. We have a lot going on and a lot to look forward to. I have heard from you and I know what is on your mind.Tony Parker! He should be, he has done a great job. Tony is a natural point guard. I am really excited about playing with him. Tony adds a whole new level of quickness to our game. When he is in we can play an up tempo game that is both effective and fun.

The change in my role to combo guard is a good one for our team and for me. I like that role and will do whatever is best for the team. My goal is for us to win another championship and I am proud to be part of the Spurs. I also look forward to playing with Tony for a long time to come. One other thing, he loves to play video games with us! I'll let you ask him about that.

We have been playing well lately and are feeling really good about our team. With all the new faces we knew it would take some time. We've made good progress and are showing signs of all the work we have put in. The new guys are doing great. Steve Smith is a good guy and an excellent compliment to Tim and Dave. It's nice to have a guy like that who can shoot the lights out.

My mom is in town now and I have really enjoyed having her here. If you have seen the commercials you know I can't cook. She can and so I have been getting some really good pre game meals!

We are home through Thanksgiving for a nice stretch. I always look forward to Thanksgiving and being together with friends and family. I have to be honest and tell you that there is one thing I'll miss this year, AJ's gumbo! We'll be in Denver soon and I look forward to seeing him.

I am really excited about some new gear that we are about to launch on the website. Recently we added our official camp t-shirt from our summer basketball camps. Now we are ready to launch the 2002 AD-T! We should have it up in a day or so. I really like it and hope that you will too. I am adding a few other items that you have requested.
