He looks like a wrestler!

As I said last week, the additions of Derek Anderson and Danny Ferry are going to be very important for our team. Derek has looked great in camp. He moves well and is extremely quick. Derek brings something that we were missing last year, great athletic ability on the perimeter. He has a good defensive mentality and a nice jump shot. I am looking forward to playing with him this season.

Danny Ferry has an excellent jump shot and is great guy to run a pick and roll with. He is very intelligent and fundamentally sound. All those things will definitely benefit our team in the long run because he just gives us a different look.

Sean and I have developed a great relationship over the years. It is great that he is back. There is no question that we are glad to have him. I would have hated to see him leave but I wanted what would be best for him and best for his body. We are looking forward for him to have another "Sean Elliott" type season. If he can do that and stay healthy, the team will be much better off.

Tim came into camp with a buzz. I told him his new haircut makes him look like a wrestler! I don't know if it's going to help his game but I do hope it makes him meaner! D. Robinson is looking terrific. He is very fluid and looks to be in great condition. His back doesn't seem to be bothering him. That is good news for our team.

Just like last year, the theme of camp this year is defense. With Pop, the theme will always be defense! As he says, "Offense wins games and defense wins championships". I appreciate your input in the first poll. It looks like high socks won 2 to 1 over low socks. Next week I'll let you know what my vote is! I'll also give you my thoughts on some of the other guys on the team. Tom has come up with a new poll but hasn't told me what it is yet. If you have a suggestion, let me know.
